Allegiant is seeking a Sr. Network Cloud Engineer II with strong AWS and cloud networking experience. This position reports to the Manager of Network and Telephony and will act as the networking team’s lead and subject matter expert (SME) for anything cloud networking, within and on-prem to cloud connectivity (VPNs, Direct Connect, SDWAN integration, etc.).

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, MIS, or other related field preferred.
•Cisco Certified Network Associate (or similar equivalent)
•AWS Architect Associate certification
Years of Experience:
•Minimum eight (8) years of Enterprise Network support experience.
•Minimum three (3) years of cloud networking support experience.
•Minimum two (2) years of experience acting as lead or manager.
•Three (3) professional references required.
•Must be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of cloud fundamentals and networking aspects.
•Must be strong with traditional networking within Data Centers, Campus, and Branch connectivity (Router, Switch, Wireless, Load Balancing, Firewalls).
•AWS direct connects, VPCs, Transit Gateways, SGs, ALB/NLB.
•DNS and Route53 experience.
•CloudWatch / CloudTrail.
•Active Directory, on-prem and cloud experience a plus.
•Next-gen firewalls (IDS/IPS, DLP, Content Filtering, Anti-malware, DDoS, etc).
•SIEM & SYSLOG.
•Cisco ISR/ASR Routers, Cisco Nexus and Catalyst Switches.
•F5 Load Balancers and AWS ALB/NLB Load Balancers.
•Port-channeling and Nexus vPCs.
•BGP, OSPF, EIGRP Routing.
•Management and Monitoring Tools experience.
•Cisco Certified Network Professional preferred.
•AWS Advanced Networking certification preferred.
•Will have persistent involvement in the organization's migration to the cloud and any future cloud initiatives.
•Will participate in the identification, implementation, and support of tools and processes that will allow the organization to effectively manage the on-prem and cloud networked environments.
•Will ensure availability, scalability, and security requirements are met with on-prem or cloud deployments.
•Stay current in latest cloud trends, best practices, and service offerings.
•Research and evaluate new cloud service offerings, particularly around networking, security, and monitoring/telemetry.
•Participate in the development standards, policies, and procedures for operational support of the network infrastructure, with a focus on cloud networking.
•Work with other systems and security teams to operationally support the cloud environment and troubleshoot and resolve critical issues.
•Develop specifications and low-level designs for the cloud infrastructure.
•Maintain cloud and on-prem infrastructure support documentation (IPAM, Diagrams, Standards, Policies & Procedures).
•Maintain DNS, DHCP, IPAM, and numerous third-party management tools (Cisco Prime/DNA, WhatsUpGold, Nagios, AppD, Riverbed, others).
•Will act as a member of a larger networking team and support traditional route, switch wireless networking in the campus and data centers, and branch locations.
•Develop and maintain automation capabilities for network device deployment and other automation for routine tasks.
•Participate in regular team and project meetings.
•Participate in the Change Advisory Board (CAB) approval process.
•Participate in disaster recovery preparations and failover testing exercises.
•Participate in regulatory compliance audits.
•Participate in vulnerability management and patching of on-prem and cloud-based systems.
•Other duties as assigned.

Office/IT - While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, key board, printer, and phone. May be required to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs. May be required to work various shifts/days in a 24 hour situation. Regular attendance is a requirement of the role. Exposure to moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones, printers, and foot traffic), temperature and light fluctuations. Ability to work in a confined area as well as the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time. Some travel may be a requirement of the role.
