Summary The Senior Manager, Reliability is responsible for management and oversight of the Reliability personnel, related programs, and the technical management of aircraft dispatch reliability issues. Visa Sponsorship Available No Minimum Requirements Combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986. Must pass a Criminal Background Check. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Data Analytics, Aviation Maintenance Management or similar field. Years of Experience: Minimum of five (5) years technical experience with large transport aircraft, with Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 fleet experience preferred. •Proficiency in written/oral communications, research and analytical skills. •Must have a thorough working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations. •Excellent team building and leadership skills. •Ability to work with people at all levels, internal and external possessing excellent interpersonal, written and oral skills. •Ability of effectively plan for fleet operations needs to meet short and long-term organizational goals and strategies. •Demonstrate sound skills and proven budget management experience. Preferred Requirements •Familiarity with methods of statistical sampling and analysis. •Previous aircraft reliability program experience preferred. •Airbus A320 fleet experience and knowledge of engineering processes preferred. •Boeing B737 fleet experience and knowledge of engineering processes preferred. •Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification. •Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license. •Familiarity with AC 120-17A, Maintenance Control Reliability Methods. •Familiarity with MSG-3 Logic, and Maintenance Program Management. •Familiarity with Project Management Principles. Job Duties •Provide direction, oversight and support of Reliability personnel on a daily basis. •Establish department long-term strategic plans and develop KPI goals for measurement of department performance. •Responsible for monitoring the performance and effectiveness of Allegiant Air’s Reliability Program (D074). •Responsible for developing and reviewing in-depth operational analysis, reliability presentations, and projects performed by the reliability group. •Identify problems and deficiencies, ensures necessary corrective measures are implemented. •Provide an interface between the Flight Operations Technical Department and Engineering to address revisions of company and manufacturer manuals, as well as engineering documents. •Support the resolution of emerging fleet technical problems with Technical Ops, Engineering, Flight Operations and Maintenance Control. •Manage the currency and revision of the Reliability Program Manual (RPM), to include document revision, FAA approval, and revision interdepartmental coordination. •Provide departmental guidance to ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation of the aircraft fleet. •Develop and maintain a professional relationship with aircraft/powerplant/component manufacturers, the regulatory authority (FAA), and other operators. •Actively participate in all industry meetings, steering committees, and conferences to champion Allegiant’s initiatives and to provide guidance to the fleet and reliability groups on current industry trends and solutions. •Provide technical expertise across multiple ATA chapters, including (but not limited to): Avionics, Systems, Structures, and PowerPlant. •Ensure fleet reliability standards are maintained, or improved upon, through data analysis and continual process improvement. •Supervise the development of technical solutions to complex reliability problems that require the use of ingenuity and creativity. •Facilitate and lead Reliability Control Board (“RCB”) meetings to discuss the root cause of mechanical failures, trend analysis, and reliability project status. •Proactively manage identified passenger, crew, or operationally sensitive issues to support the development of mitigations for these issues. •Ensure all required reliability reports, graphs and charts are provided as required, and work to automate data collection and presentations to support department efficiency gains. •Monitor the maintenance program, policies and procedures for continuous improvement opportunities. •Monitor the Maintenance Program for optimum performance and reviews recommendations made by reliability analysts for maintenance program adjustments. •Represent Allegiant’s Maintenance and Engineering team in technical conferences such as FAIR and WTT to help create worldwide fleet solutions applicable to the Allegiant operation. •Ensure all direct reports understand and apply our Customer Commitment and customer service standards to their daily responsibilities, as appropriate. •Model Allegiant’s customer service standards in personal actions and when providing leadership direction. •Perform other duties as assigned. May be required to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 20 lbs. May be required to work various shifts/days in a 24-hour situation. Regular attendance is a requirement of the role. Exposure to moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones, printers, and foot traffic), temperature and light fluctuations. Ability to work in a confined area as well as the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time. Some travel may be a requirement of the role.
