Summary
The Payments & Risk Manager oversees the payment process and leads the payments team in driving cost efficiencies across the payment acceptance system. This role ensures payment processing is in compliance with all pertinent regulatory agencies, payment disputes are researched and resolved appropriately, and internal and vendor processes are optimized for best interchange and processing rates.

Minimum Requirements
Combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986. Must pass a Criminal Background Check.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Education Details: In Accounting, Finance, or other quantitative related field.
Years of Experience: Minimum two (2) years of related experience plus supervisory experience.

•Knowledge of payment processing applications.
•Attention to detail.
•Excellent verbal and written communication.
•Mathematical acumen.
•Strong analytical, qualitative and quantitative skills.
Preferred Requirements
•Ability to prepare and present recommendations to higher management.
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite with intermediate to advanced skill with Excel.
•Experience leading a merchant payments program.
•Ability to collect and examine data, determine important trends, project possible consequences and scrutinize results.
•Experience as a subject matter expert in key program implementations.
Job Duties
•Keep current on bankcard and card brand trends.
•Ensure fraud loss and charge-back rates are minimized.
•Review monthly fraud analysis reports, identify areas for continual improvement.
•Identify and implement methods to reduce fraud.
•Monitor events through dashboards, detect anomalies, and conduct deep dive analysis to identify and understand root causes.
•Determine and implement plans to address root causes.
•Continually pursue system processes to extract inefficient cost.
•Prepare and provide reporting to senior management.
•Communicate to broad cross-functional teams the issue, remediation, and next steps in time-sensitive situations.
•Apply quantitative analysis, data mining, and the presentation of data to see beyond the numbers and provide experience, risk, and product insights.
•Apply analytic techniques to complex information sets in order to make logical and supported recommendations.
•Responsible for the oversight of the payment processing team including selection, training, discipline and terminations of direct reports.
•Ensure any direct reports understand and apply our Customer Commitment and customer service standards to their daily responsibilities as appropriate.
•Model Allegiant’s customer service standards in personal actions and when providing leadership direction.
•Other duties as assigned.

Office - While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, key board, printer, and phone. May be required to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 20 lbs. May be required to work various shifts/days in a 24-hour situation. Regular attendance is a requirement of the role. Exposure to moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones, printers, and foot traffic), temperature and light fluctuations. Ability to work in a confined area as well as the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time. Some travel may be a requirement of the role.
