Summary The Manager of Maintenance Training is qualified through training and experience on the equipment, systems, policies and procedures taught. They are responsible to the Director of Curriculum and Instruction for the oversight and administration of all company maintenance training requirements. Visa Sponsorship Available No Minimum Requirements Combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986. Must pass a Criminal Background Check. Education:  High School Diploma/GED Education Details:   High School Diploma or equivalent. Certification:  Yes Certification Details:   Airframe and Powerplant license. Years of Experience:   Minimum ten (10) years heavy transport aircraft with fleet emphasis on Boeing 737 MAX and Airbus 320 family. Minimum of five (5) years in a leadership role. Credit Check:  No Valid/Unexpired Passport Book: No Valid/Unexpired Driver's License: No •Experience developing, coordinating, and conducting training, safety inspections and investigations. •Experience in Root Cause and Corrective Action investigation. •Broad operational knowledge and experience in the functions of the organization (e.g. training management, aircraft operations, air traffic management, dispatch operations, and maintenance organization management). •Thorough knowledge of FARs and OSHA standards. •Strong computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe products. •Strong communication and presentation skills, verbal and written. •Diverse knowledge of inspection and control methods, techniques and documentation. •Strong problem solving and time management skills. •Sound knowledge of safety management principles and practices. •Excellent organizational skills and ability to positively convey complex/abstract technical information. •Ability to work unsupervised. •Good analytical skills. •Ability to be flexible and be a team player with a focus on continuous improvement process and development. •Must have good written and oral communication skills, project management skills •Firm understanding of FAA regulatory, IOSA, and ATA 104 requirements. •Safety and/or quality assurance experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. •Company Airframe General Familiarization Course required prior to or upon hire. •Experience in Training and Developing Maintenance Training programs/courses. Preferred Requirements •Bachelor´s degree. •Computer Based Training Course Development and familiarity with SMS. Job Duties •Perform needs analysis to determine if training is the appropriate solution to an identified gap. •Develop and coordinate classes of instruction on aircraft systems and power plants. •Develop syllabi and coordinate instruction on Allegiant Air’s maintenance curriculum to company and contract Maintenance personnel. •Manage training requirements and onboarding program for company Maintenance and contract Maintenance personnel. •Develop classes as needed to target training gaps as identified by regulatory findings, CASS, RCB, etc. •Develop and coordinate recurrent training classes and structured OJT program for Maintenance and Quality personnel. •Effectively plan and manage third party maintenance training providers. •Manage all aspects of the Aircraft Maintenance Instructor/Developer, Training Coordinator job responsibilities. •Evaluate training requirements and develop acceptance criteria for internal programs and service providers/ MROs. •Ensure safety is embedded in all training curricula. •Coordinate and schedule courses based on operational need and regulatory requirements. •Assist in the continuous improvement of the hazard identification and safety risk assessment schemes. •Ensure analyses is conducted to identify trends related to hazards, safety events and occurrences for training requests. •Effectively utilize applicable processes and procedures to fulfill roles and responsibilities. Investigate opportunities to increase the efficiency of processes. •Measure the effectiveness and seek to continually improve the quality of processes. •Ensure any direct reports understand and apply our Customer Commitment and customer service standards to their daily responsibilities, as appropriate. •Model Allegiant’s customer service standards in personal actions and when providing leadership direction. •Other duties as assigned. Mechanic - While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, climb, and use hands and fingers to operate various tools (i.e. drills, ladders, welding, chemicals, etc.). May be required to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs. May be required to work various shifts/days in a 24-hour situation. Regular attendance is a requirement of the role. Exposure to extreme noise (i.e. airport with planes, vehicles, and other machinery), temperature, wind, and light fluctuations. Ability to work in a confined area as well as the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time. Ability to wear personal protective gear.
