Summary The Maintenance Safety Coordinator reports to the Maintenance Safety Manager and is responsible for the monthly and quarterly safety publications directed at maintenance personnel and overseeing the quality and timeliness of the database utilized to support CASS and the maintenance safety program. The specialist coordinates investigations of maintenance events between CASS, Government Affairs, ASAP and OSE to ensure Maintenance Safety supports the timeliness and details needed by those programs. Visa Sponsorship Available No Minimum Requirements Combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986. Must pass a Criminal Background Check. Education:  Bachelor’s Degree Education Details:  Bachelor's from an accredited College or University in an aviation related field; will consider two (2) or more years of equivalent related work experience. Years of Experience:  Minimum two (2) years of experience with Safety Management or Quality Management Systems with a 14 CFR Part 121 or 135 carrier. •Knowledge and experience in part 121/135 maintenance operation. •Knowledge and experience with FAA regulatory process. •Knowledge in Safety Management Systems, CASS and associated processes. •Previous enterprise database experience. •Strong Microsoft Office/Excel experience. •Strong organizational and time-management skills. •Strong interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation communication skills. •Ability to handle numerous projects at one time and meet deadlines. •Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision. •Ability and willingness to travel as needed. Job Duties •Research, write, edit, and distribute monthly and quarterly maintenance safety publications and other safety related materials in various media. •Assist in administering the maintenance related employee SMS reporting program to include reviewing, accepting, processing, and distributing new reports. •Track and coordinate open Safety/CASS/Compliance investigations and actions including impending due dates specific commitment requirements. •Track and coordinate all maintenance related safety actions with action owners. •Assist in the creation and distribution of the monthly SMS/CASS report and presentation and meeting coordination. •Participate in industry Safety forums such as InfoShare. •Act as a safety advocate for management and employees alike, ensuring safety remains an active part of the work and the culture at Allegiant. •Understand and apply Allegiants Customer Commitment and customer standards to the daily. •Model Allegiant's customer service standards in personal actions. •Other duties as assigned. Office - While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, key board, printer, and phone. May be required to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 20 lbs. May be required to work various shifts/days in a 24-hour situation. Regular attendance is a requirement of the role. Exposure to moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones, printers, and foot traffic), temperature and light fluctuations. Ability to work in a confined area as well as the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time. Some travel may be a requirement of the role.
