Summary The Manager of Line Training is responsible for supporting and supervising the daily tasks of the Line Training Specialists and must have detailed working knowledge of the applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR’s), Allegiant crew scheduling procedures and policies, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work with all levels of management. This role will support the Sr. Manager of Crew Services Administrations with staffing models, post-mortem analyses, and the development and implementation of new processes and crew-related software transitions. Previous management experience preferred. Visa Sponsorship Available No Minimum Requirements Combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986. Must pass a Criminal Background Check. Education:  Bachelor’s Degree Education Details: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience. Years of Experience: Minimum four (4) years of experience in the aviation industry. Minimum two (2) years of experience in a managerial role. •Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment. •Proficiency in advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office; with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel. •Ability to maintain a professional manner while liaising with company team members at all levels, including labor union representatives, with a balance of confidence and empathy. •Proven ability in leading and developing highly-effective teams and driving improvements through automation. •Proven organizational skills in a high-pressure setting. •Ability to read, write, and speak English in order to receive and understand instructions, directives, and ensure safety, as well as the ability to interact with customers. •Proven knowledge and complete understanding of the applicable FARs. •Strong leadership and relationship-building skills. •Ability to eliminate decision-paralysis through sound experiential reasoning. •Manage time effectively to meet timelines across multiple projects. •Excellent problem-solving skills and the desire to inherently seek resolution to conflict. •Ability to demonstrate good judgment. •Solid analytical skills to drive manpower utilization efficiencies. •An understanding of staffing and headcount models as related to crew as well as the Crew Services department. •Possess strong leadership skills to guide, supervise, and help develop the skills and abilities of all Line Training Specialists. •Ability to travel if required. •Availability and willingness to work varying shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Preferred Requirements •Previous airline training scheduling experience. •Previous experience with Collective Bargaining Agreements. •Complete understanding of the applicable FARs. •Proficiency in crew management software or crew training/records software. •Understanding of the recruiting and hiring personnel processes within Allegiant. •Experience in the development and documentation of processes. •Experience in the development of training curriculum. •Ability to build headcount and resource models to provide input on historical performance and advise leadership on the future planning of crew-related resources. Job Duties •Aid the Sr. Manager of Crew Services Administration with recruiting and interviewing efforts for the Line Training Specialist role. •Develop training materials and provide training for new employees within the department regarding their role, as well as keeping up with updating organizational policies and procedures as they change. •Assisting Crew Payroll when needed with research and communication to ensure instructor and student pay is accurate. •Manage Line Check Airmen headcount models and update them on an ad-hoc basis. •Meet with Pilot Training Scheduling regularly and evaluate instructor staffing levels and determine resource allocations for future months. •Understand and coordinate Flight Operation regulatory items including green on green flying, consolidation or knowledge, high minimums, and landing currency as they apply within the crew schedules. •Track and evaluate the attendance of Line Training Specialists on a weekly basis. •Perform frequent evaluations and annual performance reviews of Line Training Specialists. •Implement the policies and goals established by the Company as directed by the Director of Crew Services. •Conduct User Admin testing for new crew products such as CMS/training systems as well as testing for occasional system deploys/updates. •Ensure scheduled training is in accordance with the applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and Allegiant Air Pilot/Flight Attendant CBAs. •Send weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc updates on Line Training KPIs and trending data to OCC and Crew Services leadership. •Serve as negotiations support and subject matter expert during collective bargaining negotiations. •Assist Contract Compliance with grievance research related to Line Training as necessary. •Ensure Line Training Specialists are selecting the most efficient training schedules while meeting operational goals. •Assist and support the Line Training Specialists in their daily duties and responsibilities as needed. •Perform system audits to ensure departmental process and procedure meet compliance and regulatory standards. •Interface with Crew Scheduling to respond to operational challenges impacting Line Training events as they happen. •Award and cover non-routine time off requests such as vacation, leaves, sick, and shift trades for Line Training Specialists. •Conduct data collection, auditing, and monthly reporting of trending data as necessary. •Perform a variety of tasks, ad-hoc analysis, and implement process improvements. •Reconciliation of company credit card. •Ensure any direct reports understand and apply our Customer Commitment and customer service standards to their daily responsibilities as appropriate. •Model Allegiant’s customer service standards in personal actions and when communicating with instructors and students. •Other duties as assigned. Office - While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, key board, printer, and phone. May be required to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 20 lbs. May be required to work various shifts/days in a 24-hour situation. Regular attendance is a requirement of the role. Exposure to moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones, printers, and foot traffic), temperature and light fluctuations. Ability to work in a confined area as well as the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time. Some travel may be a requirement of the role.
