Summary The Travel Center Intern assists the Employee Travel Center Team with administrative duties including travel and expense reconciliation, travel arrangements, and eligibility. Visa Sponsorship Available No Minimum Requirements A combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986. Must pass a Criminal Background Check. Education: High School Diploma/GED Education Details: Bachelor's degree recent graduate or currently pursuing degree in Business or related field. To be qualified to apply intern candidates should be currently enrolled in a college or university, or a recent graduate within the last six months with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Certification: No Certification Details: N/A Years of Experience: N/A Credit Check: No Preferred Requirements •Active student majoring in a business degree. •Office related experience. •Excellent communication skills – verbal and written. •Strong attention to detail. •Microsoft Office products – Word, Excel, Outlook. •Strong data entry and typing skills. Job Duties •Utilize designated online booking tool to process company business travel requests. •Process inbound interline travel requests for Employee and Eligible Family Members. •Complete listings for travel requested by other airlines, vendors and award recipients. •Answer inquiries from Employees and others via phone, fax, Allegiant Travel Center email account and in-person/complete all requests within a timely manner. •Calculate correct fare and applicable taxes for all ATB tickets issued. •Review, process and submit all applicable travel expense reports. •Act as a liaison between all out-stations employees and vendors for travel. •Review submitted documentation for Employee Non-Revenue Eligible Travelers and update HRIS system accordingly. •Process monthly accounting sheets for all flights, hotels and car rental bookings. •Maintain monthly statistics on business and leisure travel requests processed. •Attend travel related meetings, conferences and/or training as needed. •Model Allegiant’s customer service standards in personal actions and when providing leadership direction. •Other duties as assigned. Physical Demands / Work Environment Office - While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, key board, printer, and phone. May be required to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 20 lbs. May be required to work various shifts/days in a 24-hour situation. Regular attendance is a requirement of the role. Exposure to moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones, printers, and foot traffic), temperature and light fluctuations. Ability to work in a confined area as well as the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time. Some travel may be a requirement of the role. Essential Services Provider Allegiant as a national air carrier is deemed an essential service provider during declared national and state emergencies. Team Members will be required to report to their assigned trip or work location during national and state emergencies unless prohibited by local, state or federal order.
