Summary The Flight Operations Technical Support (FOTS) Specialist is responsible to the Flight Ops Technical Support Senior Manager to assist with providing technical support for the administration of Allegiant Air’s software application regarding the authoring of Flight Operations manuals. This role also ensures that the processes and content of all Flight Operations manuals complies with the quality set forth by the Department. Additionally, this role provides technical support in the inventory and administration of Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) devices. Visa Sponsorship Available No Minimum Requirements Combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986. Must pass a Criminal Background Check. Education:  Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation Management or related field. Years of Experience: Minimum one (1) year of aviation experience. •Proficient and well versed in using authoring software and/or XML editor. •Excellent writing skills and ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization. •Detailed understanding of flight operations. Preferred Requirements •Experience in technical writing. •Experience using M365 apps, Arbortext, Framemaker, and XML formatting. •Experience in Safety Management System and Safety Risk Assessments. •Experience in Mobile Device Management systems. •Can multi-task in a growing and dynamic operations environment and work independently. Job Duties •Manage, author and publish the Flight Operations manuals using authoring software an/or XML editor. •Implement the changes as proposed by the Flight Standards group (Director of Flight Training & Standards, Fleet Manager, Fleet Technical Specialist and Senior Manager of Flight Operations Technical Support) in a timely manner and maintain the quality of the content. •Manage the scheduling of changes to operations manuals. •Liaise with Publications on matters related to Operational Manual maintenance and publications. •Initiate, coordinate, and document flight operations changes in accordance with the approved Safety Management System requirements. •Conduct audits of flight operations manuals and make changes to other system manuals to document processes and procedures. •Edit and format Flight Operations bulletins. •Assist in the administration of current Flight Operations software and applications. •Review the report provided by IT regarding the status of each EFB devices to ensure that each users have the current software version. •Travel may be required. •Model Allegiant’s customer service standards in personal actions. •Other duties as assigned. Office/IT - While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, key board, printer, and phone. May be required to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs. May be required to work various shifts/days in a 24 hour situation. Regular attendance is a requirement of the role. Exposure to moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones, printers, and foot traffic), temperature and light fluctuations. Ability to work in a confined area as well as the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time. Some travel may be a requirement of the role.
