Summary
The Manager of Emergency Response is responsible for developing and implementing processes, policies, procedures, equipment and logistical support for Allegiant Air’s emergency response program.

Combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986. Must pass a Criminal Background Check.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Education Details:
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college/university or equivalent experience required.
Years of Experience:
Minimum two (2) years of aviation experience.
Preferred Requirements
•A thorough knowledge of the Aviation Disaster Family Assistance Act of 1996 and related NTSB, FAA, and DOT directives.
•An understanding of Part 121 airline operations.
•Excellent communication skills and technical writing experience.
•Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
•Demonstrated analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, and strong attention to detail.
•Experience in emergency response planning.
•Experience coordinating cross-company projects.
•Experience developing and implementing training programs.
Job Duties
•Manage plans and contact lists for emergency personnel, including, but not limited to, emergency checklists for emergency support teams, Care Support Team and Go Teams.
•Appropriately prioritize frequently changing requirements, tasks, and responsibilities.
•Works with safety-sensitive and sometimes confidential information, determines which items need to be handled by whom, with what level of urgency; displays good judgment and discretion.
•Participate in design and maintenance of corporate Emergency Command Center and the Go Team, including layout, equipment, and procedures.
•Determine and implement a strategy to meet logistical requirements of accident response, including equipment and facility needs.
•Revise and maintain the Emergency Procedures Manual, Emergency Response Quick Reference Guide, Care Support Team Quick Support Guide and Emergency Response pages on the company intranet site.
•Assess training needs; assist in developing additional training curriculum, and provide training as necessary.
•Responsible for the development and execution of company-wide emergency exercises for Allegiant Air.
•Develop exercise plans and after action reports for Allegiant Air annual drills.
•Act as the administrator for the emergency notification system and maintain team membership and reconcile reports.
•During accident response, serve as the Crisis Management Care Support Team Leader on the Go Team.
•Ensure that emergency systems, facilities and responses are tested on a monthly basis and document for records.
•Cross-train and facilitate department training curriculum as needed.
•Promote increased company-wide awareness of Emergency Preparedness goals and requirements.
•Develop, distribute, and execute station tabletop exercises on an annual basis and track compliance.
•Audit all station emergency response procedures, including station packets, airport plans, and emergency exercise schedules and negotiate on-site corrections to bring station plans into compliance.
•Provide input for the Quarterly and Annual Board of Directors Safety Committee report.
•Manage the Care Support Team (CST) Program.
•Maintain relationship with government agencies, contractors, vendors, and non-governmental organizations involved in family assistance.
•Contribute to the Safety & Security Newsletter.
•Ensure stations ongoing participation in triennial drills.
•Ensure any direct reports understand and apply our Customer Commitment and customer service standards to their daily responsibilities, as appropriate.
•Model Allegiant’s customer service standards in personal actions and when providing leadership direction.
•Other duties as assigned.

Office - While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, key board, printer, and phone. May be required to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 20 lbs. May be required to work various shifts/days in a 24-hour situation. Regular attendance is a requirement of the role. Exposure to moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones, printers, and foot traffic), temperature and light fluctuations. Ability to work in a confined area as well as the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time. Some travel may be a requirement of the role.
