Summary The Allegiant Accelerate Cadet is a collegiate student in their Senior year with an authorized University's aviation training program.  Cadets are within 1 year of graduation from an approved Part 141 program that have successfully interviewed and been accepted into the Accelerate Program. After successful completion of the program, Cadets are provided a Conditional Job Offer as an Allegiant First Officer. Visa Sponsorship Available: No Minimum Requirements Combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986. Must pass a Criminal Background Check. Education:  High School Diploma/GED Certification:  Yes Certification Details:   •FAA First Class Medical Certificate •All aeronautical experience requirements for an ATP, Airplane category rating, as set forth in 14 CFR §61.159. Valid/Unexpired Passport Book Valid/Unexpired Driver's License Yes Minimum Requirements •Valid driver’s license. •Current or ability to get passport book or other travel documents enabling the bearer to freely exit and re-enter the US (multiple reentry status) and be legally eligible to work in the U.S. (posses proper working documents). •All required forms of identification presented, i.e., passport, driver’s license, and social security card, must match one another. •Ability to read, write, and speak English in order to receive and understand instructions, directives, and ensure safety, as well as the ability to interact with customers, is a requirement of the job. Preferred Requirements •Basic computer skills. Job Duties •Attend and pass all courses in accordance with enrolled university’s curriculum. •Receive all FAA ratings as required by University’s Part 141 curriculum. •Remain eligible for issuance of R-ATP. •Attend Accelerate Professional Development Seminars (in-person or virtually). •Meet with Accelerate Cadre and Mentors during in-person visits as able. •All Cadets must verify their flight time by logbooks. •Model Allegiant’s customer service standards in personal actions. •Attend visits to Allegiant HQ and training centers when scheduled and as able. Physical Requirements The Physical Demands and Work Environment described here are a representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of the role. Pilot - While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a plane equipment (i.e. flight deck computers, plane doors, emergency equipment, etc.). May be required to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 100 lbs. May be required to work various shifts/days in a 24-hour situation. Regular attendance is a requirement of the role. Exposure to extreme noise (i.e. airport with planes, vehicles, and other machinery), temperature, wind, and light fluctuations. Ability to work in a confined area as well as the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time. Travel is a requirement of the role. Essential Services Provider Allegiant as a national air carrier is deemed an essential service provider during declared national and state emergencies. Team Members will be required to report to their assigned trip or work location during national and state emergencies unless prohibited by local, state or federal order.
